Is Smoking Allowed While Fasting in Ramadan

Every year 8-10000 people in die alone due to smoking! Only this knowledge should get all the people to stop smoking. For us Muslims, there is even more reason to quit, and I will in this article to try to present evidence that smoking really is haram.
With smoking refers to any tobacco inhaled / pull down in his lungs as such. from cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookahs. Smoking is widespread among Muslims and unfortunately it continues to increase despite knowing its dangers.
The major recognized Ulama (scholars of Islam) as such. Qaradawi, Albani, Al-Ghazali, Ibn Baz, Bouti, all agree that smoking is haram.
Why Smoking is Not Allowed Specially in Ramadan?
There is plenty of evidence for this and the most important is simply that smoking is harmful. Harmful to the faith, health, environment, family, social relations, welfare and so on.
  1. Harmful to Tron:
Smoking destroys a person's prayer. A smoker smells bad, and the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "Whoever ate garlic or onion should avoid coming to the mosque. They should stay in their home. The angels damaged by what is harmful to humans." (Al-Bukhari, Muslim), you must surely agree that a person who smokes smells just as bad as one who has eaten garlic. So how can he do to not ruin it for those who come to the Friday prayer? Smoking also destroys the fast. It is very difficult for smokers to abstain from cigarettes for a whole day. If he can do it so often he break the fast with a cigarette instead of useful dates and milk. Maybe he manages to fast Ramadan, but the voluntary fasting is too difficult for him and he misses much of Allah's reward because of this.

  2. Harmful to health: As I said in the beginning, they die 8-10000 people in Sweden each year due to smoking. Smoking causes a variety of diseases, most ultimately leads to a premature death. Examples are cardiovascular disease (heart attack, angina, vascular constrictions in the legs), cancer (lung, mouth, esophagus, stomach, urinary tract, breast, uterus, etc.), lung diseases (asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), stomach ulcers, infertility (infertility), impotence (inability to have sexual intercourse in men). Smoking during pregnancy can cause injury to the child. It is important to point out that even a cigarette a day increases the risk of disease.Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: "Do not kill yourselves, Allah is your great mercy" (An-Nisa: 29) He also says: "... let not your own hands contribute to your destruction." (Al-Baqarah: 195) The Prophet Muhammad (saas) said: "Whoever takes poison and kills himself with it will have to take poison in hell and he will have to stay there forever." (Bukhari, Muslim)

  3. Harmful to mind and strength: A person who is addicted to smoking can not concentrate and think clearly if he is not allowed to smoke regularly. A smoker thus becomes a slave to cigarettes instead of being Allah's slave and servant. He has lost his will power and has become weak and dependent. Allah (swt) wants his servants to be strong and able to control their desires.

"Yes, Allah would turn to you and enclose you in His mercy, but those who go where their desires drive them want to lead you away (forever from the straight path)."

    (Koran 4:27)

  4. Harmful to the environment / surroundings:
Smoking destroys the environment for their brothers and sisters. There is evidence that passive smokers have an increased risk of diseases such. asthma, allergy and cancer. Especially dangerous is it for the children. The Prophet (saas) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Day of Judgment should not hurt his neighbor." (Bukhari)

  5. Harmful to property: Smoking wasting their money on expensive cigarettes is haram, and to no avail. We will all be asked on the Day of Judgment about how we spent our assets.
"Do not waste your assets. Spenders are demons and the devil brothers showed great ingratitude to his Lord."

    (Koran 17: 26-27)

  6. Bad role models:
Smokers are bad role models for their children and for other Muslims. Actions affect more than words. Children do what adults do and not what they say.

How will you do to stop smoking?
It is not easy to quit smoking. No one claims it. The dependence is strong but the reward you get from Allah (swt) in this life with better health, finances and so on. and in the next life is worth all the trouble. In order to stop must trust in Allah (swt) that He will help one and give strength.
"Once you have made your decision which way your trust in Allah. Allah loves those who put their trust in Him."

(Koran 3: 159)

Some tips to make it easier:
